Healthy Meal Planning 101
The Fort Meigs YMCA Center for Health Promotion is offering a brand new class this fall for families and individuals who want to get serious about healthy eating.

This is a fun 60-minute class led by a registered/licensed dietitian to help get you organized and less stressed about planning healthy meals for yourself and your family. 

You will:
Learn nutrition basics
Plan a week worth of healthy meals
Receive recipes for quick & easy meals
Create a grocery list

Join us for 2 free demonstrations on July 17 at 9:00 am and August 12 at 7:00 pm in conference room B. You will receive a free taste of the class and one free recipe.

Lights, Camera, Action
The Fort Meigs YMCA and Wolf Creek YMCA hosted our annual dance recital "Lights, Camera, Action" on May 15th. Our two shows had a total attendance of over 1800 people with 272 performers. We wanted to extend a big thank you to all our parent volunteers, staff and instructors who made the event possible. Register for Perrysburg Summer Swim Team and USS Summer Swim Team today! The Perrysburg Summer Swim Team encourages anyone interested in competition swimming to come out for the team.  All swimmers must be able to swim two length of the pool Freestyle and Backstroke.  Evaluations are available on Wednesday and Thursdays at the Fort Meigs YMCA from 5:30-6:00 until June 4th. Leaders Club
Leaders Club is a nationwide program that helps youth develop leadership skills through service projects in the community. The YMCA and JCC of Greater Toledo offers Junior Leaders Club for youth entering grades 4 – 6 and Senior Leaders Club for young adults entering grades 7-12. The Francis Family YMCA also offers Leos Club, in partnership with the Bedford Township Lions Club.

Leaders Club was organized for the purpose of allowing young people to develop useful leadership skills, reinforce important values, serve their community as volunteers and make lifelong friends.

The same great gymnastics program, staff and leadership, and equipment is now at the Fort Meigs
YMCA Sport Zone, 12745 Eckel Junction Road in Perrysburg, east of the Fort Meigs YMCA.
Coaches Casey and Robin, along with the entire gymnastics staff, look forward to seeing everyone
at the new facility.  It even has the same pit! 

The Gymnastics Center is home to the Gymcats, the gymnastics team of the YMCA & JCC of Greater Toledo.

YMCA /JCC Early Education, Care and Afterschool Programs
At the YMCA and JCC, families tell us what's important for their kids - and we listen. YMCA/JCC TO PROVIDE FREE MEMBERSHIPS TO ELIGIBLE MILITARY FAMILIES
As part of the new Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Outreach Initiative, the YMCA and JCC of Greater Toledo will provide military families with access to youth development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programs at community YMCAs nationwide.  Membership fees will be underwritten by the DoD and administered through Military OneSource, an information and referral service for military families.

Free Respite Child Care for Military Families
In a continued effort to meet the growing needs of military service members, the YMCA and JCC of Greater Toledo will provide respite child care services to deployed National Guard/Reservists and select military personnel. Underwritten by the Department of Defense (DoD), respite child care services are designed to provide licensed child care for children of deployed military personnel. More>>

Fort Meigs Y opens child care center
The Fort Meigs YMCA is pleased to celebrate the opening of a new Child Care Center - The Fort Meigs YMCA Adventure Center, located at 210 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
The Adventure Center offers full- and part-time child care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old including enrichment classes, Kindergarten Readiness and summer programs.
The 19,000 square foot facility, located at 210 E. South Boundary, has capacity for 173 children and includes a gymnasium, computer lab and art studio. The developmental program in the center is designed to meet the needs of all children with an emphasis on early childhood education.
The center will also be a base for a wide range of services to families such as parent education, family and movie nights, parent's night out events, holiday programs and specialty YMCA classes. For more information, please call 419-251-9622.

Silver Sneakers® Fitness Program
The Silver Sneakers® Fitness Program is a national exercise program designed exclusively for older adults and offered to Medicare-eligible members. YMCA/JCC offers the Silver Sneakers ® Fittness Program to eligible members of Anthem BCBS and Humana health plans. For eligibility, contact your insurance provider.
