Day Camps at the YMCA
Campers will still be able to experience a great outdoor program including swimming, fishing, archery, nature walks, and tons of outside games. Each week will have a different theme and activities that revolve around the theme.
Location: Sylvania YMCA/JCC
Ages: 6-12 years (can accommodate up to 15 with special needs)
Ratios: 1 counselor to 9 campers.
Time: 9am - 4pm
Dates: June 22 to August 14 (8 weeks total)
Before care: 7am - 9am
After care: 4pm - 6pm
Counselors will be providing an experience as close to "typical" day camp as possible with the stay safe regulations in place.
You must register your child for each week you would like them to participate in.

It will run alongside the in-person day camp and follow the same weekly theme. There will be a private facebook group that each camper can be added to.
Each day there will be:
- A morning live virtual campfire,
- A virtual lesson, with campers receiving a box with the materials for each day's lessons.
- An at home activity provided
Each week there will be a live family engagement component.
Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in a video chat room with a counselor that will be leading discussions and providing community activities.
Fee: $25 per week to register for the activity box.
This program has been funded by a grant from the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, so any child with special needs will receive this program for free. One of our inclusion specialists will be in contact with you for more information.
Some branches will also be hosting specialty camps (art, cooking, sports, etc.).
