Preschool Program

The YMCA Mini-Maples Preschool is a collaborative partnership between Adrian College, Adrian Public Schools and the YMCA of Lenawee County.

The YMCA Mini Maples Preschool at Lincoln Elementary is a laboratory classroom for the education students at Adrian College. These students engage in activities with the children under the supervision of highly qualified education professors. The program is designed for children in the community including children of faculty from Adrian College.

By choosing the YMCA Mini Maples Preschool at Lincoln Elementary, your child will benefit from an innovative curriculum design, a low student to teacher ratio, and ongoing research of children's learning and development.

With so many demands on today’s families and the increased focus on early childhood development, families need all the support they can get to nurture the potential of their children. With this in mind, the YMCA preschool holistically fosters child development and learning by providing a safe and healthy environment to learn foundational skills, develop healthy and trusting relationships, and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Our programs are licensed through the State of Michigan and utilizes the Creative Curriculum design to enhance student learning. Using this approach, learning takes place through touching, moving, listening, seeing and hearing. Our preschool teacher holds a degree in education and continues to develop as a professional through workshops, conferences, and continuing education throughout the year.
