YMCA/JCC SCHOLARSHIP CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEERS JOIN THE AMAZING RACE TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!
Contributions Help More Than 73,000 People
Teams of YMCA/JCC volunteers and staff are geared up for The Amazing Race to Make a Big Difference.  The YMCA and JCC of Greater Toledo officially kicked off its Annual Scholarship Campaign on February 1 at the new West Toledo YMCA.  The campaign raises funds for membership and program assistance for local youth, adults and families.  The 2010 Amazing Race themed campaign runs until Wednesday, March 10.

Over the next five weeks, approximately 1,000 volunteers will join The Amazing Race to raise $2 million. The money will be used to fund programs at every local YMCA and JCC facility.

The 2009 campaign provided more than 73,000 people with membership and program assistance, camperships, child care scholarships and spiritual development programs - ensuring everyone an opportunity to benefit from YMCA and JCC programs, regardless of their ability to pay. Thirteen branches participate, each having its own goal and raises money to provide scholarship assistance for families in its neighborhoods. One hundred percent of the funds raised support local youth, families and adults.  Contributions are not used to pay salaries or other expenses.  The campaign also supports community-wide efforts, like YMCA/JCC Splash, a free program that teaches 3,500 young people each year water safety and basic swimming skills.

Help support the work of the YMCA/JCC.  Your gift to the Annual Scholarship Campaign will make a Big Difference in Our Community.
