
Cancellation Policy
Members may cancel their membership online or in person at any time without a cancellation fee, provided their account is in good standing, no one on the membership is currently enrolled in a YMCA program, team (requiring an active membership), or enrolled in YMCA child care.
“Good standing” is defined as a membership account with no outstanding balance. Any membership with a current balance must be paid in full before the membership can be cancelled.
Members enrolled in a YMCA program or team that requires an active membership must maintain their membership through the duration of the program and are not eligible to cancel until the program has ended.
Members enrolled in YMCA Child Care who receive discounted rates must maintain an active membership for the duration of their child care enrollment. Memberships cannot be cancelled until the member is no longer enrolled in child care.
A minimum of 15 days’ notice is required prior to a member’s next scheduled billing date.
Only the primary account holder who signed the original membership agreement is authorized to cancel the membership.
If less than 15 days’ notice is given, one final monthly draft will occur, and the membership will be cancelled the following month.
15 Day Notice Overview
For members that are in good standing, no one on the membership is currently enrolled in a YMCA program, team (requiring an active membership), or enrolled in YMCA child care, please note the following:
15TH OF THE MONTH DRAFT DATE
Memberships cancelled before the 1st of the month, the membership will end prior to the next scheduled draft on the 15th (of the current month), and no additional charges will be applied. This will allow members continued access to YMCA facilities until the 14th of the current month.
Memberships cancelled on or after the 1st of the month, one final payment will be drafted on the 15th. The membership will remain active until the 14th of the following month, and no further charges will occur after that. This will allow members continued access to YMCA facilities through the final month of membership.
Example
If a member cancels on April 30, their membership will end before the next scheduled draft on May 15, and no further charges will occur. Members will have continued access to YMCA facilities through May 14.
If a member cancels on May 1, one final draft will occur on May 15. The membership will remain active through June 14, after which it will automatically cancel. No additional charges will occur beyond that. This will allow members continued access to YMCA facilities through the final month of membership.
28TH OF THE MONTH DRAFT DATE
Memberships cancelled before the 13th of the month, the membership will end prior to the next scheduled draft on the 28th (of the current month), and no additional charges will be applied. This will allow members continued access to YMCA facilities until the 27th of the current month.
Memberships cancelled on or after the 14th of the month, one final payment will be drafted on the 28th. The membership will remain active until the 27th of the following month, and no further charges will occur after that. This allows you continued access to YMCA facilities through the final month of membership.
Example
If a member cancels on May 13, their membership will end before the next scheduled draft on May 28, and no further charges will occur. Members will have continued access to YMCA facilities through May 27.
If a member cancels on May 14 (or any time after), one final draft will occur on May 28. The membership will remain active through June 27th, after which it will automatically cancel. No additional charges will occur beyond that. This allows you continued access to YMCA facilities through the final month of membership.

HOLD POLICY
Members may place their membership on hold for up to 3 months within a 12-month period, provided their account is in good standing, no one on the membership is currently enrolled in a YMCA program, team (requiring an active membership), or enrolled in YMCA child care.

Members enrolled in YMCA Child Care who receive discounted rates must maintain an active membership for the duration of their child care enrollment. Memberships cannot be placed on hold until the member is no longer enrolled in child care.
