Membership Descriptions:
Family - Up to two adults & kids (through age 26), same residence

Grandparent - Up to two adults in the same household and grandchildren not in their household (through age 26)

Two Person - Two people, same residence

Individual - One adult, age 18+

Youth - One youth, age 10-17 (Facility Member-Program Participant rates may apply)

Verification of household income is required within 7 days of joining.


Income Verification

The Y is a charitable organization that subsidizes membership through our Y For All program. With membership pricing based on household income, no matter where people live or their ability to pay, the Y is accessible and affordable to everyone in our community. Verification of household income is required within seven days of joining. For household income verification, please bring one of the following documents to the branch within 7 days of joining: most recent 10-40, social security income statement, disability statement or retirement statement. 

Automatic Payment Plan

The preferred method of payment for YMCA membership is the Automatic Payment Plan (bank draft). Savings accounts, checking accounts and credit cards (MasterCard/Visa/Discover/American Express) are acceptable for drafted payment.

Membership Cancellation

Automatic Payment Plan changes or cancellations require a 30-day written notice. Cancellations are honored only after a minimum of 12 months of continuous membership. 

Payment Prorate 

New members first month's payment is prorated based on their join date. 

SilverSneakers®, Silver&Fit® & Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare Memberships

Branches of the YMCA OF GREATER TOLEDO offer SilverSneakers®, Silver&Fit® and Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare. Memberships with participating insurance plans. For more information on these programs, visit our Active Older Adults page

Gympass®

Branches of the YMCA OF GREATER TOLEDO accept Gympass®. Call or visit your local branch for more information.

Reduced Rate Information

Our new system is not currently available to apply a reduced rate for our Partners In Healthy Living or Financial Assistance when registering online. Please stop by your local branch today to join.

15% Hero Discount 

We salute our heroes and their families. Active duty, veterans and first responders receive 15% off their monthly membership rate. It’s our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving others. Please stop by your local branch today to join. Verification of household income is required within seven days of joining.

Please bring:

  • Active Duty Service Member, Reserve, Guard or Family – show their military issued ID or dependent ID at sign up
  • Veteran – Show their DD214 paperwork or the identifier on their state issued ID at sign up. Also, Can Show VA Id Card
  • First Responder – Show department specific ID at sign up
