YMCA Hitters Volleyball Team
Founded in 2010, YMCA Hitters Volleyball is rooted in the Y’s mission to strengthen community through youth development and teamwork. We believe every athlete deserves a supportive environment where they can grow in confidence, build lasting friendships, and discover their potential on and off the court. Our practices emphasize skill-building, character development, and trust between teammates, coaches, and the broader YMCA family. Together, we rise.
🏐 YMCA Hitters Volleyball Club Achievements Celebrating Youth Development, Healthy Competition, and Community Impact
2020 – Amid a challenging year, our program remained resilient. Across 18U, 15U, 14U, and 13U, YMCA Hitters teams secured 12 match wins.
2021 – With growth and grit, our 18U, 16U, and 14U teams earned 23 match victories, reflecting the Y’s mission to nurture potential and foster belonging.
2022 – A banner year for development and teamwork: 33 match wins across 18U, 17U, 16U, and 14U. 2023 – Our club continued to thrive with 33 match wins across 18U, 17U, 15U, and 12U, and our 17U Elite team earned Silver Bracket honors at the MJVBA State Championship Club Division.
2024 – Our most successful season yet: YMCA Hitters teams across 18U, 16U, and 14U achieved 38 match victories, reinforcing our commitment to youth development and community excellence through volleyball.
2025 – The 2025 season showcased meaningful growth and resilience across the YMCA Hitters program. Our 10U Select team went 6–0 to win the HVVC Championship, 14U Premier Blue earned Bronze at MSF, 14U Premier Black finished 5–0 to claim the HVVC Gold Bracket title, and 12U Select secured a strong second‑place finish in the MLK Classic Gold Division.
Program Fees include:
AAU membership, insurance, warmup, JVA fees, MJVBA fees, equipment, tournament costs, coaching staff and practice facilities (if necessary)
Athletes are responsible for buying their full uniform, shoes, knee pads, socks

All players must be registered at least one day prior to tryouts.
Note: All 10U players who attend tryouts will be placed on Select (House) Teams.

Elite Teams are highly competitive and should anticipate:

🏆 Participation in Total of 10 tournaments – One and/or Two day combinations
📅 Possible – Navy Pier Asics Junior National Championships

Premier Teams (12U, 14U, 16U, 18U)
Premier Teams are highly competitive and should anticipate:
🏋️♂️ 2 – 1.5 to 2 hour practice days per week
🏅 AAU membership required
🌊 6 one day tournaments and 2 additional two day tournaments

Select Teams will play for 10 weeks – the perfect environment for building fundamentals, enhancing skills, and developing as a player with a focus on advancing into competitive play.
