Public Trail Rides

Saturdays this fall!

Fall Horseback Adventures at Stony Lake

Experience the beauty of autumn from the saddle with our unforgettable horseback riding adventures! Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned rider, we have the perfect trail ride for you. Each guided experience includes a pre-ride lesson from our expert wranglers, stunning natural scenery, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Choose from one of our four tailored rides:

Stony Lake Adventure — $125 | 10:30AM–1:30PM
Our signature 3-hour ride blends instruction, scenic trails, and a relaxing mid-ride break. Ideal for those who want the full experience—from forested paths to lakeside views.

Saddle Up Scenic Ride — $50 | 2:00PM–3:00PM
A peaceful one-hour journey through butterfly gardens and quiet pine trails. Great for beginners or anyone looking for a gentle, nature-filled ride.

Cowboy Classic — $65 | 3:30PM–5:00PM
A 90-minute fan favorite that explores our 1,200-acre campus, with the chance to wade horseback through the shallows of Stony Lake—weather and horse willing!

Golden Hour Bandana Ride — $70 | 6:00PM–7:00PM
Capture the magic of sunset on this golden hour ride, complete with fun take-home bandanas and faux mustaches for memorable family photos.

Fall Open House

Sunday, September 21st, 1-4p

Summer is just the beginning of the fun at YMCA Storer Camps! Come check out your new favorite YEAR-ROUND camp!
 
Maybe you’re a student at one of 120+ schools that attend our Outdoor Education program who is curious about where you’ll be staying while at camp. You could be wanting to check out some teambuilding activities for your company’s next professional development day. Or you could just REALLY like camp and want to be back for an afternoon. Regardless of the reason, we’re happy to see you here for our Fall Open House!
 
No registration is required. Simply arrive at Malachi Dining Hall to check in for the day and head around camp. Guided tours with our program directors and sample camp activities will be available from 
1-4pm.

Women’s Wellness Weekend

Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28

Come ready to enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend with friends and family members here at YMCA Storer Camps. Women’s Wellness Weekend will give you a great opportunity to try new activities, get fit, experience some outdoor adventures or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings of camp.

Some of the activities you will have the opportunity to enjoy include yoga, stand-up paddleboarding, arts & crafts, rock wall climbing, nutrition demonstrations and a book club led by our local library.

Facials, massages and horseback riding are available for an additional fee.

Camp Catch-A-Rainbow Family Weekend

Friday, October 17th – Sunday, October 19th

All the magic of summer camp packed into one unforgettable weekend the whole family can enjoy! 

Join us for Family Weekend at Camp Catch-A-Rainbow, where campers and their families come together for a whirlwind of fun, laughter, and memory-making. Think arts & crafts, tractor rides, archery, horseback riding and tons more classic camp activities with the people you love most by your side!

Stay the Weekend or Just Come for the Day!
Make it a full getaway in our cozy lodges or cabins (space is limited; first come, first served!), or drop in just for the day on Saturday and experience all of the fun!

Best of all? It’s completely FREE!
That’s right.  Just like our summer camp program, Family Weekend is absolutely free for all participants.  

*Please note: Camp Catch-A-Rainbow is YMCA Storer Camps’ pediatric oncology camping program.  We accept campers ages 4-17 who are in active treatment or remission from cancer and their immediate family members for Family Weekend programs.
