Youth Opportunities Program
Youth have a place in their 
own neighborhood where they
can have fun, learn, and create
their future.
The Youth Opportunities Program is a year-round, after-school program for disadvantaged young people, ages 14-21, who live in Lucas County.
Administered by the YMCA of Greater Toledo and funded by Lucas County Workforce Development Agency, the Youth Opportunities Program provides support to help youth improve educational achievement, prepare for and succeed in employment and develop their potential as citizens and leaders.
YOP offers assistance to young people through:
- Tutoring and Career Readiness
- Life Skills Training
- Paid/Unpaid Work Experience
- Leadership Development
- Supportive Services
- Summer Employment
- Adult Mentoring
- FREE YMCA memberships for family
- Work Readiness Certifications
- Monthly Group Events and Field Trips
- College Prep and College Tours
- Financial Literacy
- Service Learning Projects
- Career Exploration
Must meet WIOA/TANF income eligibility requirements for enrollment.
